Delivering 9 tons of spreading force with a maximum opening distance of 81 mm, this lightweight, ergonomic tool requires only a 6 mm initial gap to begin operation – making it ideal for flanges that are lightly compressed or partially separated.

Simple, Reliable Mechanical Operation: The SW9TM is actuated by a standard torque wrench (200–203 N·m, included in the kit). Turning the torque wrench drives a precision screw mechanism that gradually and measurably spreads the flange faces. No hydraulics, hoses, or external power sources are needed, reducing setup time and eliminating leak points.
Safe & Ergonomic Design: The tool is lightweight and easy to handle, significantly reducing operator fatigue. It can be used individually for smaller flanges or in pairs (two spreaders opposite each other) for larger, more stubborn joints. A safety block is included to mechanically lock the opened gap, allowing technicians to work safely between flange faces without continuous tool pressure.
