Founded in December 2020, Riverlake’s roots trace back to our founder, Edward Deng. Growing up in a rural village in Hubei, China, Edward began his career as a sales trainee after university. Through sheer determination, he became a top performer, teaching himself graphic design, video editing, and web development in his spare time.

In 2017, fueled by ambition, he started his first company—only to face bankruptcy and debt a year later. Undeterred, he repaid his debts while working full-time. After the pandemic, with renewed vision and minimal capital, Edward re-established the company, managing every aspect alone—from supply chain and web operations to global sales. Through relentless effort, he grew the business single-handedly to an impressive RMB 12 million in annual revenue by 2024.

Unlike typical trading companies focused on short-term gains, Edward envisioned Riverlake as a true brand—a partner committed to integrity, loyalty, and long-term relationships. From the beginning, he modeled Riverlake after respected global brands, building growth through exclusive distribution partnerships. For Edward, integrity isn’t just a principle—it’s the core of Riverlake’s identity.

Rapid growth revealed two key challenges: the need for a dedicated team and, more importantly, the understanding that trading alone could not build a great brand. True impact would come from innovation—improving products and developing new solutions that redefine market standards.

This realization led Edward to Bob, founder of Shanghai Hurun Hydraulic Machinery Co., Ltd. (est. 2017). A former hydraulic engineer at ENERPAC in the US and China, Bob brought deep expertise in R&D, design, and manufacturing. Under his leadership, his factory grew significantly, producing a wide range of hydraulic tools.

A mutual supply partnership began in 2023, founded on deep professional respect and shared personal values. In December 2024, they joined forces as equal partners to launch ULTPRE, combining Bob’s engineering mastery with Edward’s commercial vision.

By late 2025, it became clear that operating two brands created redundancy and market confusion. In a decisive move, Edward and Bob merged their companies and resources under Taizhou Chuanhu Hydraulic Machinery Co., Ltd., consolidating entirely behind the Riverlake brand. Edward (60% company share) oversees global sales and strategy, while Bob (40% company share) leads R&D, design, and production management.

Today, Riverlake is a unified force in the hydraulic tool industry. We design, manufacture, and supply a comprehensive range—including hydraulic cylinders, pumps, bolting tools, flange maintenance equipment, industrial presses, and accessories—backed by our own innovation and a fully integrated team.
